Certified Sales & Rentals is growing, and we're on the lookout for a passionate, detail-driven Millwright Journeyperson, whose primary responsibilities consist of installing, repairing or dismantling machinery according to equipment diagrams, specs, and blueprints. This position also requires skills in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic defects with the associated equipment. What You’ll Be Doing
- Recertify and repair equipment
- Servicing, repairing and overhauling equipment such as air compressors, gearboxes, rail car progressioners, electric motors, pumps, welders, generators, concrete mixing/pumping equipment, reeling equipment, line tensioning equipment, ROV’s and RTV’s
- Inspect machinery, unload parts, and assemble equipment with the safe and effective use of hand and power tools
- Organize and store unassembled equipment as it arrives, positioning the machinery and pieces needing to be assembled using cranes, forklifts, telehandlers, and trucks
- Interpret diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to determine work procedures and report any issues back to supervisor as they arise
- Identify and resolve issues found in machines, equipment, or processes in order to facilitate production
- Visit surface and underground sites to complete installs and diagnose/repair problem machinery as needed
- Process jobs according to defined company policies and practices
- Provide all required details necessary for job number assignment
- Review, understand, and complete workorders
- Ensure all required parts and components for recertification are in stock or on order
- Work Area and Tools
- Maintain all equipment and tools in clean and good working condition
- Maintain work area to keep it clean and tidy; remove any obstacles that could present a hazard
- Assist in identifying low stock and supplies as necessary
- Ensure that safety policies, quality standards, and standard operating procedures are followed
- Provide assistance to other areas of the company, as required
What You Bring to the Table
- Must provide proof of Industrial Mechanic/Millwright Journeyperson Certificate
- Experience in moving, assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of machinery and equipment is required
- Demonstrated aptitude in reviewing and following highly technical and complex machinery or equipment manuals
- Strong understanding of hydraulics, electronics, pumps, gearboxes, motors, and reading diagrams and blueprints
- Strong foundation in welding applications and machining principles
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
- Any safety-related training and certificates would be considered an asset, but not required
- Attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to use judgement and apply discretion when making decisions
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Strong time-management skills
- Valid Driver’s License
